Education & Advocacy
We give talks to schools and medical students annually. We organise talks on interesting topics and cookery demonstrations for our community. At our Expo we have films, cookery demonstrations and speakers to provide information and education to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. We submit submissions when necessary on vegetarian issues to government policy making bodies so that our community and lifestyle is accurately reflected and our needs are considered. We counter discrimination against vegetarians in advertising and we advocate for the elderly, prisoners and the mentally ill when they have issues being vegetarians and vegans in institutional care. We also have information leaflets on various aspects of vegetarianism. Click here to go to our resources page.
