Home Tried Favourites is a compilation of recipes originally contributed by the committee members of the NZ Vegetarian Society, in an effort to provide easy to make, everyday recipes.  They are slanted towards feeding an average size family of four.  The index shows the different sections of proteins commonly used by vegetarians so if, for example, if you have tofu in the fridge, turn to the tofu section, or nuts, look at the nut section.  The recipe book is vegan friendly because it includes a large number of vegan recipes (dairy free) plus simple adaptations can be made to convert vegetarian to vegan recipes. Margarine can be used instead of butter, soy milk instead of cows milk and so on.  Feed back over the years has been excellent and is testimony to the re-prints over the years.
