Upcoming Events

Friday 3rd, 10am. Under Fives Preschoolers Group.

Sunday 5th, 6pm. Raw Vegan Pot Luck, Wyenova Organic Farm.

Sunday 12th, 10am–12. Vegetarian Families. Shirley Play Centre.

Costs: vegetarian Youth Group $3. Under 5s group free. For Lesbian and Gay Dining Group restaurant meals, pay for what you order. All other events are $2 per person or family unless otherwise stated. For all picnics, pot lucks and family group meetings bring a plate and cutlery and a vegan dish to share (raw if attending the Raw Vegan Group).

Vegan food policy: The Christchurch Vegetarian Centre aims to be an inclusive group where all vegetarians feel welcome. Vegans are vegetarian too of course! To this aim, we encourage vegan catering at our events so that the vegetarian and vegan communities can celebrate vegetarianism together and all can share in the food. If you are bringing a dish to a pot luck, please make it a vegan one. If you would like some vegan recipe suggestions, CLICK HERE for our recipes page. Otherwise, you could buy ready made vegan food to bring such as So Good ice cream, Trade Aid or Whittakers dark chocolate or a green/fruit salad. If you are gluten free, please let us know if you plan to attend a catered event so that we can be sure to have suitable food for you.
