Earthquake Appeal - Apīra Ru-whenua
We are currently working from our own homes and doing the best we can as our city rebuilds. But we need a new office and to replace our resources in order to do our job properly. This Centre is vital to the vegetarian community of Christchurch, and many of our members and supporters live in the city. They have lost homes, businesses, and sadly some have lost their loved ones. We want to see the city we love rebuilt, and we want to provide support to reassure people that there is a future here in Christchurch. We are asking you to help us to rebuild our organisation, to help us build a new Centre.
We have launched an international appeal to help rebuild the Christchurch Vegetarian Centre. Our aim is to rebuild our resources (computers, filing cabinets, desks, banners, DVDs, posters, leaflets, library, shop etc) so that we can continue our work and support of the Christchurch vegetarian community. We estimate the funds needed to be NZ$20,000. Please support our appeal by sharing this with your supporters.
The New Zealand Vegetarian Society has opened a bank account: The ‘Christchurch Vegetarian Centre Earthquake Rebuilding Fund’ to take donations. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us rebuild our Centre and our precious vegetarian/vegan community. To make a donation you can contact the national office of the New Zealand Vegetarian Society's earthquake fundraising appeal email address: chchvegfund@vegetarian.org.nz. The account number for New Zealand donations is: 12 3045 0360126 02. (We are a charitable trust so donations are tax deductable.) For overseas depositors the number is: ASBBNZ2A 12 3045 0360126 02. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. Thank you for your support.
