The Lotus Heart Restaurant - The Lotus Heart Restaurant lost both of its premises in the February quake. One has been demolished and the other is within the Red Zone cordons. It has re-opened 363 St Asaph Street, between Fitzgerald Avenue and Barbadoes Street. The menu includes many trusty favourites such as burgers, pizza, masala dosa, soup, raw, vegan and gluten free options, coffee, chai and also has a tea lounge to continue to specialise and expand on their range of tea and specialty drinks. Water Drop Vegetarian Cafe - The Fo Guang Shan Buddhist temple teahouse, known as the Water Drop Cafe, is located in the eco-building of the International Buddhist Association, which also houses art galleries and a Buddha Hall. ( Dharma services are held every Friday from 7.00pm - 8.30pm). There are set lunches, rice and noodle meals, desserts, and vegetarian pies. Besides that, cookies and cakes with various tea and coffee can also be enjoyed in this building of tranquility. Snacks are from $6.50 and set lunches from $12.50.
